A letter of transmittal is a type of short cover letter or business letter that accompanies a document to explain the purpose or importance of it. This letter clarifies correspondence by putting the documents sent into context, to keep confusion at a minimum. Recipients understand what they received and why they received it.

If you’re working with documents that will be modified over time by different users, send them using a transmittal. When you use a transmittal, the documents you transmit are updated in the recipients’ document register as part of the Aconex audit trail.

Click the Transmit button. Complete all the mandatory fields, which are marked in yellow with an asterisk. Select Create a transmittal.
